Ruby Developer
As our fearless RoR Ninja, you will work closely with the founders in the design, strategy, and implementation of PlayMoolah's core features, turning spec into solid, scalable, bug-free, expandable, snappy code. You will own the server backend and its testing and deployment, develop engineering release schedules, and ensure that the service is operating smoothly and securely.
- Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails, Javascript, SQL
- Experience with REST based API development
- Comfortable with sass, haml, and CSS3
- Digs agile, iterative, and test-driven development methods
- Experience at building robust, scalable backend architectures
- Excellent communication skills, especially across timezones
- Ability to iterate quickly based on strategic direction and customer feedback
- Good process and methodology (documentation, bug/issue tracking and analysis, rapid integration and deployment)
Bonus Credit
- Loves customers (in our case: kids!)
- Game development experience
- Mobile development experience
- Good sense of humor
